September 2007: Thanks to all of you that sent your deposits. We had enough money to put a deposit on the community center. Dates and time are now set. If you haven't sent in your deposits please do so, ($25,00 single and $50.00 couple). The committee and I are relying on all of you that have emails to help us with the head count so we will know how much it will cost each of us for the reunion. The meal itself will be $25.00 a person. If you have not told me whether or not you want a room please do so. I need to know if you want the room for 1 or 2 nights.
We had a third meeting with great attendence. Bob Meek, Ronnie Massey August Hardt, Norbert Yannez, Tommie Pifer, Don Hogue, George Wolfe, Ken and Ruth Ann McKelvy, myself. Thanks to all of you that attended the meeting. Each of you were a great help. We want to plan a meeting in Globe so maybe you Globeites could get involved. Would you Globeites attend? Let me know if you would like a meeting in Globe. There is a lot that needs to be done and we need you globe classmates to help do it. The menu has been chosen. If you need a special menu, please let me know.
Beginning Plans - 2007 - A committee is now working on the plans. Please keep the month open and plan to attend. We shall get details to you as soon as possible.
Some ideas include a Friday night where we might all gather down at the La Casita cafe for a night of eating and getting to know each other again. This would be dutch treat. The waitresses dressed up like it was in the fifties at a past reunion. If enough classmates come Friday night, they might close the restruant to the public. Saturday everything could be at the casino. A block of rooms could be reserved for a reasonable price. Then we wouldn't have to drive after we started to party!
Committee members now working on the plans are George Wolf, Donnie Houge, Ronnie Massey, Ken and RuthAnn McKelvy, August Hardt and Roseann Rayes Krane (doing computer work from the San Francisco area).
